Day 01 Air Port / Habarana

Arrival to the Bandaranayake International Air Port. Meet our foreign language speaking National Tourist Guide Lecturer or our Company Representative and transfer to Habarana. Check in to the Hotel. Evening a jeep safari in the Minneriya National Park. (Optional)


It is located in the North Central Province of Sri Lanka, is a one of the ideal national park to observe a large number of wild elephants. On 12th August 1997, it was declared as a national park to protect the wild life of the surrounding area.

Dinner and Overnight stay in Habarana.

Day 02 Habarana / Sigiriya / Polonnaruwa / Habarana

Breakfast at the hotel.
Thereafter Proceed to Sigiriya for climbing the Sigiriya Rock Fortress.


Sigiriya, a world heritage site declared by UNESCO in 1982, is a unique archaeological monument in South Asia. It is a granite rock which rises to a height of about 200 meters from the surrounding plain. In the 5th century A.D. the King Kassyapa turned it and its surroundings in to a fortified capital, building a palace at the top of the rock like another Alakamanda and lived there like the God Kuvera. Sigiriya constitutes a unique concentration of 5th century Sri Lankan town-planning, art and architecture, landscape- gardening and hydraulic technology.

Afterwards leave for Polonnaruwa. Lunch at a Local Restaurant en-route. After Lunch visit the Ruins of the 2nd ancient Capital of Sri Lanka.
Thereafter visit an indigenous Wood Carving Centre.


Polonnaruwa was the 2nd capital of the ancient Sri Lanka. The Sinhalese King Vijayabahu, who ruled in 1070AD declared the 2nd Capital of Ceylon after having defeated Chola Invasions. But the Golden Era of Polonnaruwa is considered in the Reign of King Parakramabahu 1. During his Reign, Trade, Agriculture, Irrigation system flourished and Polonnaruwa Kingdom was completely self- sufficient. Making the Parakrama Samudra, the King Parakramabahu showed us the Skills of the People in Irrigation, who lived at that time. Amongst the ruins, Galviharaya, The king Parakramabahus Palace, Atadageya, Hatadageya, Vatadageya, Rankothvehera, Lankathilaka are worth to see.

Afterwards return to Habarana

Day 03 Habarana / Dambulla / Nalanda / Kandy

Breakfast at the Hotel.
Thereafter leave for Dambulla for visiting The Golden Rock Temple. Dambulla Cave Temple.


It is also known as the Golden Rock Temple of Dambulla, is located in the Central Province of Sri lanka. It is the largest and well preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka. The history of the Temple goes back to the 1st century BC. It is believed, that the King Valagamba converted the first two caves in to a temple. It is one and only temple, where a large number of Buddha Statues and also paintings are seen in one centre in the country. In the year 1991 it was declared as a World Heritage Site.

Thereafter visit Nalanda Gedige in Matale.


Neither the local public nor the foreign tourists know much about Nalanda, yet this site is unique in local archaeology, because of its ruins dates back to a period of over a thousand years. It is significance to the historians and to the archaeologists is the presence of the ruins an ancient monastery and a stone build Buddha image house popularly known as Gedige being located at this site. This image house is support to be a unique building amongst our ancient ruins due to many reasons. One is that it is considered as the only Buddha image house in Sri Lanka that bears the main characteristics of the famous Pallawa architecture of Mahabalipuram (7th century AD) in South India. Secondly it depicts a combination of Theravada and Mahayana forms of worship and at the same time both Buddhists and Hindu forms too are also visible. According to available evidence this may have been built somewhere in the period between 8th and 10th century AD.

Thereafter proceed to Kandy visiting a Spice Garden in Matale.


In Kandy visit the Temple of the Tooth, a Gem lapidary and also a Batik Factory.

Dalada Maligawa (Temple of the Tooth)

The Temple of the Tooth Relic is the most sacred place of worship of the Buddhists. It was first build by king Wimaladarmasuriya in 1592AD. Among the relics of the Buddha, it is the most venerated Object of worship for Buddhists. Three rituals with the beating of the Drums are performed daily. The morning ritual begins at 5.15am. The midday ritual starts at 9.15am and the evening ritual starts at 6.15p.m.

In the evening witness a Cultural Dance Performance.

Day 04 Kandy / Peradeniya / Pinnawela / Colombo

Breakfast at the Hotel.
Afterward leave for Peradeniya for visiting the Royal Botanical Garden.

The Royal Botanical Garden

According to available evidence, the royal Botanical garden at Peradeniya was established by Alexander moon in 1822. The total area of the garden is 59 hectares. During the World War II, the Garden was used by Lord Louis Mountbatten, the supreme commander of the allied forces in the south Asia, as the headquarters of the South East Asia. In the garden there are more than 4000 species of Plants, including Orchids and Palm trees. Interesting features are Orchid House, the Fernery, Spice Garden and the trees planted by the distinguished Visitors to the Country like king Edward vii, the late Czar of Russia, King George v, the King of Belgium and Kurt Georg Kiesinger.

Thereafter proceed to Pinnawela to visit the elephant orphanage.

Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage

The Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage, where a large herd of captive elephants are living in the world. It was established in 1975 to nurse, feed and house young elephants found abandoned by their mothers. The elephants living here are not released in to the wild and until they die they live here. The main attraction is to observe the baby elephants are fed with bottle and elephants bathing in the River.

Thereafter proceed to Colombo.


Colombo, the Commercial hub of Sri Lanka, located on the west coast of the country was once the main Capital of the Island until 1982. Due to the Harbour and its strategic position along the East-West Sea-Routes, Colombo was known to ancient traders 2000 years ago. There is a school of thoughts about the Name. The Name Colombo is believed to be derived from the classical Sinhalese name Koloa Thota, means Port of the river Kelani. The main attractions in Colombo are Beira Lake, Independence Memorial Hall, Harbour, Galle Face, Nelum Pokuna, and Viharamahadevi Park etc.

Overnight stay in Colombo.

Day 05 Colombo / Airport

Breakfast at the Hotel.
Thereafter leave for the Bandaranayke International Air Port for departure
